Chikkamagaluru: A national level kabaddi player ended his life after his newlywed wife allegedly left him. The couple had been married only two months ago.
Vinod Raj Aras had attempted suicide at his native Tegoor village in the taluk on Friday and was shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru where he succumbed on Monday night.
After being in a relationship for two years, Vinod Raj got married to his girlfriend on December 10 last year. However, she deserted him on December 31 saying that she did not want him as husband. Following this, a complaint was lodged at the women’s police station.
