A student died after a Eicher lorry hit a two-wheeler on the service road near Mukka’s Indian Petrol Pump.
The deceased girl identified as Manvi (12), daughter of Mukka resident Yashwanth, who was studying at NITK.
The father and daughter were going home on a scooter when a lorry from behind hit them, police said.
Suratkal police visited the spot and took the lorry driver into custody.
