The police have also alerted all bus stops and railway stations in the area. During the investigation, the police came to know that the accused used to stalk the girl. He always followed her when she visited the park or the market, said locals.
The girl’s father has alleged that the police initially refused to register an FIR and did so only after he met the police chief. He further said that his daughter ran away with all his savings. He rued that the accused lived just a few houses away and seemed to be a nice person initially. The father said that it was the teacher who had approached him to teach his minor daughter.
