Intelligence Authorities believe that these Kozhikode stations can be easily accessed through the forested regions from neighboring states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. To address this threat, inspections have been organized into three areas, each assessed for its likelihood of attack. Preliminarily, Thottilpalam and Peruvannamuzhi stations are considered the most vulnerable to Maoist and radical leftist attacks, followed by Kuttiadi, Valayam, and Koorachundu. The third zone includes Kodenchery, Thiruvambady, and Thamarassery. Special Inspectors have been assigned to these areas, with a total deployment of 240 police officers.

Meanwhile, DYSPs in Vadakara, Thamarassery, and Perambra are directly supervising these operations. Deployment is scheduled from 8 AM to 8 PM and from 8 PM to 8 AM. The inspection will continue until further notice, as per the order from the Kozhikode Rural Superintendent of Police. Additionally, special surveillance is currently in effect in tribal colonies, with regular patrols by ten armed personnel in large vehicles across the three designated areas.
