According to some reports, National Investigation Agency nabbed a member of the Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorist organization from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport today, October 8.

As per Janam tv reports, Sulfi Ibrahim, hailing from Tholicode near Vithura in Thiruvananthapuram district was arrested. This action is part of the nationwide crackdown on PFI’s alleged terrorist activities.

According to reports, NIA arrested Sulfi when he was attempting to escape for Kuwait from the Thiruvananthapuram airport. Prior to this arrest, the NIA team had conducted a raid at Sulfi’s residence. It is noted that Sulfi had previously escaped.

In August, the NIA conducted raids on several PFI offices due to their involvement in terrorist activities. NIA claims that Green Valley Academy is one of the oldest and largest training centers affiliated with the PFI in Kerala.

On September 28, 2022, the Central government imposed a five-year ban on the PFI and its associated outfits due to their unlawful activities.
