Successful Mandalam-Makaravilakku season for Kerala SRTC: Earned Rs. 38 crore revenue

The Kerala State R T C has marked a tremendous success during the Mandalam-Makaravilakku season at Sabarimala, generating a revenue of Rs. 38.88 crore through its operational services.

The Pamba-Nilakkal route witnessed a total of 1,37,000 chain services and 34,000 long-distance services since the commencement of the Mandalam season, serving 64.25 lakh passengers.

Even after Makarajyothi darshan, KSRTC continued its services, operating continuous chain services on the Pamba-Nilakkal route from 7 pm to 3:30 am on January 16. Additionally, long-distance services to Chengannur, Kottayam, Kumali, Thiruvananthapuram, and Thrissur were provided.

As the temple doors at Sannidhanam are set to close (Closing of sanctum sanctorum) tomorrow night, KSRTC’s Pamba Special Officer confirmed the continuation of chain services until tomorrow night and long-distance services until 4 am on January 21.
