Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus and a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus collided at Marthandam flyover in Kanyakumari district. It is reported that the KSRTC bus driver was killed, and 35 passengers from the buses were injured.

Accident took place on today afternoon, when the KSRTC bus, en route from Nagercovil to Thiruvananthapuram, and the TNSTC bus, en route from Kaliyikavila to Kanyakumari, collided. The accident reportedly took place as the KSRTC bus was attempting to overtake a lorry, resulting in a collision with the TNSTC bus traveling from the opposite direction. 35 passengers from both buses were injured.
The injured have been admitted to various nearby hospitals. It is reported that KSRTC bus driver Aneesh Krishna (43) died in the accident, while the TNSTC driver was severely injured.
