Kannur: Another incident of illegal gold smuggling at Kannur Airport. Ashif Mundakul, a native of Kozhikode, was arrested at the airport for carrying 818.5 grams of gold.
This incident follows a similar case from the previous week, where customs officials arrested a woman with gold valued at lakhs. The gold was confiscated from another individual from Kozhikode who had arrived from Dubai. A total of 1125 grams of gold, worth Rs 67.72 lakhs, was seized in that case.
