The Kerala Director General of Police (DGP) has suggested both civil and criminal action against MR Ajith Kumar for allegedly giving false testimony against P. Vijayan.
Ajith Kumar had reportedly linked P. Vijayan to the gold smuggling case, a statement that was attributed to SP Sujith Das. However, Sujith Das has since denied making such claims.
P. Vijayan, in response, had written to the government requesting legal action. In turn, the government sought the DGP’s opinion on the matter, which has led to the current recommendation for action against Ajith Kumar.
