India on Friday were assured of a minimum of 100 medals at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
Officially India have won 95 medals so far but five more medals are confirmed which will take their tally to 100.
This means that the 2023 edition will not only be India’s best ever in the history of the Asian Games but also the first time India will touch the three-figure mark in the medal tally.
The Indian men’s team defeated Japan 5-1 in the final to bag gold.
Men’s team of Raju Tolani, Ajay Prabhakar Kahre, Rajeshwar Tewari and Sumit Mukherjee bagged silver in the bridge.
India continuesdto stay in fourth place with 22 gold, 34 silver and 39 bronze to a total of 95 medals.
