Pabba’s Gadbad has been listed in Top 10 legendary ice cream places in the world. These rankings were released by TasteAtlas, an experiential travel online guide.
Pabba’s in Mangaluru, known for their ‘Gadbad ice cream’ was ranked 7th. Mangaluru is also known as Icecream Capital of India. The guide described Pabba’s as a well-loved local ice cream parlour, “famous for its creative ice cream sundaes and traditional India ice cream flavours. As a part of the Hotel Pabbas, this ice cream spot has become a must-visit destination for its delightful array of flavour and desserts.
K. Rustom & Co. In Mumbai was ranked at 24th position. It is famous for its unique ice cream sandwiches wrapped in paper thin wafers. This old fashioned ice-cream shop has been a favourite since its establishement in the 1950s. The list also saw the presence of Naturals Ice Cream, Mumbai and Corner House, Bengaluru.
The top slot was taken by Giolitti in Rome followed by Rapanui, Buenos Aires and Sorveteria da Ribeira, Salvador. Giolitti is famous for rice gelato.
