A Muslim youth who was celebrating Bakrid was murdered by his friends in Suri Colony of Bellary. An argument between friends is said to be the reason behind the murder.
The murdered youth is Liakhat alias Roshan (24) of Netaji Nagar, Bellary. He is studying Arabic in Kalburgi and arrived in Bellary on Wednesday evening on the back of Bakrid.

In the evening Bakreed went to a party with his friends at Suri Colony, which is opposite Edga Maidan. When a quarrel arose between the friends and he was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon.
SP Nataraj, rural station police officers and staff visited the place. The dead body has been sent to Vims Hospital for inspection. A trap has been laid to find the accused. It is said that the suspicious youths have been taken into custody and are being interrogated by the police. The exact reason for the murder is not known. A case has been registered at Bellary rural police station.
