Wrestler Vikram Parkhi Dies of Heart Attack While Exercising in Gym

Amidst growing concerns over the cardiac health of youth in the country, a 30-year-old wrestler from Pune tragically died of a heart attack while exercising in a gym.

This incident has shaken the wrestling community.

The deceased wrestler, Vikram Parkhi, was a well-known figure in the wrestling world. He lived in Maan, Mulshi taluka, and had gone to the gym in Maan on Wednesday morning for his workout session.

While exercising, Parkhi began feeling unwell and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad. Sadly, he passed away before receiving treatment.

Parkhi was the son of former soldier Shivajirao Parkhi and the brother of youth leader Babasaheb Parkhi.

This marks the second death of a wrestler in Pune in recent months. Last year, in March, wrestler Swapnil Padale died of a heart attack after a workout in Pune’s Mamasaheb Mohal Kusti Sankul in Marunji.
