Vande Bharat food server, Dancing Girl Seema promoted as supervisor..!

Thiruvananthapuram: Seema Maurya, an aspiring dancer and food server on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat express, to take up a new role as a supervisor.

Kerala Media ‘Mathrubhumi’ had previously published the story of Seema, who had to take up the job of a food server despite having a degree in Bharatanatyam from Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The Catering service company that employees Seema saw this news and decided to promote her.

After completing her duties on Monday, Seema boarded a train to Delhi on Tuesday. Due to her innate passion of dancing and talent, Seema completed her BPA in Bharatanatyam from BHU but had to give up her studies due to her family’s financial situation.

She secured a job in the Vande Bharat train while preparing for PSC exams and was posted in Kerala. Seema is the third of five children in the Varanasi-based family. Her father is a fruit vendor. Her mother was the first to notice Seema’s natural aptitude for dance. She began learning dance when she was studying in 5th standard. While pursuing a BPA degree, she used to teach dance and work on accounts to pay her fees.

Although she wanted to get a postgraduate degree as well, her circumstances did not allow. Her father fell ill and with the marriage of her two elder sisters, the responsibility of the family fell upon Seema’s shoulders.
