It is a known fact that cricket is very important in the world. Besides, there is a demand for cricketers even after retirement and they engage in activities like commentary and coaching.
A fresh example of this is former Sri Lankan cricketer Suraj Randiv. Yes, after retiring from cricket, Suraj is working as a bus driver in Australia.
Former Sri Lankan and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) off-spinner Suraj Randiv, this same destiny has taken his life in a completely new direction. Randiv, who was a part of Sri Lanka’s playing eleven in the 2011 World Cup final, has become a bus driver in Australia to make ends meet after parting his ways with the sport.
Suraj, who made his debut as a Sri Lankan cricketer in 2009, played international matches till 2016 i.e. for seven years, Suraj Randiv was part of the 2011 World Cup final match. In this match, Team India had a great victory against Sri Lanka.
Suraj Randiv has also played IPL matches for Chennai Super Kings team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After retiring from cricket, he moved to Australia and is working as a bus driver in a company called Transdev there. Another surprising fact is that former cricketers such as Zimbabwe’s Washington Mwayenga and Sri Lanka’s Chintaka Jayasinghe are working as drivers in this company.
