BENGALURU: A man shot his 32-year-old son from his licenced single-barrel gun after the latter reportedly denied to give money for liquo. This incident took place in Karekal in Kamakshipalya on Thursday evening. The injured Nartan Bopanna was shifted to a hospital by the police, but he lost his lives.
The father Suresh reportedly asked Nartan for money to buy liquor. An argument ensued between the then.
After the argument, an angry Suresh rushed into his room, picked up the gun and shot at the door, but the shrapnel hit Nartan in the leg. Nartan called his sister and informed them that their father had shot him. The sister immediately asked a relative to check on Nartan.
However, by then, Nartan had bled profusely for about three hours and despite shifting him to a hospital, he did not survive. Nartan’s mother is bedridden, family sources said. The Kamakshipalya police have since arrested Suresh.
