Malappuram: A Malayali driver died after a KSRTC bus met with an accident in Mandya, Karnataka, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Haseeb from Malappuram district. He was the driver-cum-conductor of the KSRTC’s Malappuram- Bengaluru deluxe bus.
The bus departed from the Malappuram depot at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Reports indicate that the bus collided with a divider while attempting to avoid a lorry that had abruptly braked in front of it. Haseeb sustained severe injuries, particularly to his rib cage and head. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved. Fortunately, none of the passengers on the bus were injured.
