Arun Yogiraj Receives Doctorate from Sanskriti University

Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit University has awarded an honorary doctorate to renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj. This honorary doctorate recognizes Arun Yogiraj’s extraordinary passion and impeccable service to art and sculpture.

Arun Yogiraj, who was honored with a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil) in Sculpting and Art by Sanskriti University, Mathura.

Arun Yogiraj gained national attention with his work on the divine idol of Ramlalla for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. He also sculpted a 30-foot statue of Subhash Chandra Bose, installed on the back roof of the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate in New Delhi. This statue was completed ahead of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 125th birth anniversary. Additionally, he carved a 12-foot tall, 35-ton statue of Adi Shankaracharya.

This prestigious recognition was made even more memorable by the esteemed presence of former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, who conferred the degree.

In his message of gratitude, Arun Yogiraj expressed deep appreciation for the accolade and the opportunity to receive it from such a distinguished figure. “I’m deeply grateful to Sanskriti University for this honor,” he shared. “Receiving this recognition from our beloved former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind made it even more special.”
